"The Road to Emmaus"
At the end of the Gospel of Luke, Jesus appears to two disciples walking down the road to a place called Emmaus. The disciples don't recognize who He is, but as they walk, He has an interesting conversation with them.
What Jesus does on this walk and when He sits down to share a meal with these disciples gives us an important message about what it looks like to have a healthy relationship with the Word. This Sunday, we will read this story and discuss how we are supposed to hold and use the Word in our lives.
Please note, because many of our congregation will be away over Memorial Weekend (including the pastor), there will not be a service at Oak Arbor on Sunday, May 24th.
Sunday Services
Our worship services begin at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday.
The first part of the service is for the whole family; with songs, prayers, and a talk for the children. After the children's talk, parents take their children to the nursery or to Sunday School (see Sunday School tab).
The second portion of the service is aimed at adults, with a more in-depth message on the topic.
After worship, we gather in the Foyer and Cafe to share fellowship and enjoy refreshments. Everyone is invited to join this gathering.
